David Justin Miller has a keen interest in the sport of rugby because of the several similarities it has with American Football. He started playing tackle football when he was 11 years old and continued playing the sport until he was 18. David Justin Miller is currently studying at Texas Christian University. Here are a couple of tips you can use to become a better rugby player.
Play your Position
Unless you are a new player and are still trying to find the right position to play, you will need to stick to your position instead of frequently changing it. Each position has its unique requirements, and switching positions frequently will not give you the opportunity to master a particular position properly. Stick to your position and learn to excel in that position contributing to your team.
Be a Team Player
Rugby is a team sport, and if you want to be a better player, you will have to learn how to play as a unit and not as a lone player. As a player, you will need to know your role and master it. The key to becoming a better player is knowing what to do while you are playing the game. All players at some point in the game will have to leave their positions to execute a run or tackle, the key is knowing what to do without putting your team at a disadvantage.
David Justin Miller enjoys playing team sports as it helps build strong bonds with the other team players.
